We always said we wanted to do this so no time like the present

My wife and I want to learn Spanish together perhaps in a small group of less than 10

We have some basic skills but are really beginn

Any recommendations in the Huércal-Overa area ?

Thanks

Peter

The town offers free lessons, they will start up at the adult school again in September. Technically you are supposed to sign up in June, but if you go along in early September I'm sure they'd fit you in. Last year I think they had three levels, so they might test you to rate your proficiency. One downside is that they wanted you to attend three nights a week. An upside is that they have trips and meals out and it's a way to broaden your social circle. It's at the Paolo Friere adult school at the end of town down near the crematorium.

I hope the school has improved as when we went the teacher was awful. She was using google translate for a lot of the words and phrases. We go to the adult school in Arboleas, Karen havin g been going for the last 3 years. Andrea, the teacher is excellent, speaks Spanish, English and French and is very helpful. Technically we should not have gone there as we come under H.O. but if there is room in the classes they usually let you join. Two one hour lessons a week and it costs 30 euros a year. If you go to the town hall in Arboleas there is an office immediately on your left where there are a couple of guys who are on the council who are English and they should be able to help you. Registration is usually in September so give them a try.

Good luck,

Paul.
