We are sailing back to the UK mid April, I understand that we need a COVID 19 test for the UK BUT some of the prices I have been told are VERY high. We live in El Cucador, where would we get the test locally? Private doctors are just cashing in!!

We have just returned to the UK via Brittany Ferries from Santander.   We took an antigen test at EV Medical in Vera at a cost of 40€ each.  Very quick procedure with result given in approx 15 minutes.  They are located near the bullring.

Pleasure.  Have a good trip back to the UK.  As an aside, have all your paperwork to hand when you arrive at the port (and again on arrival to the UK), ie Passenger Locator Form, negative Covid test result paper and your paperwork proving that you have pre-booked (and paid for) your Day 2 and Day 8 Covid tests.

Hello to all.    I am trying to travel by train to Barcelona from Lorca. When do you think this will be possible.   (After the 9th April)

Many thanks.      Terry

Try EV Medical in Vera. I believe they do an antigen test for about 40 Euros. The big expense is going to be your pre-booked day 2 and 8 tests in the UK as these are at least £175.

Just a warning, Air France won't accept the antigen test. They stopped some of us from boarding yesterday. I had mine at Málaga Airport. It was, however, accepted by UK border control after a frantic few hours of rebooking.

That’s for reply.  But as from this Friday all the tests are now FREE.   According to BORIS.    Thanks.  Terry

Hello,

I returned to the UK in February and had a lateral flow test for €35 at the private medical centre in Albox. I got the results within around 30 minutes.

The receptionist Rafael was very friendly.
