Hi we are trying  to get information  on receiving  coronus vacine.

We are 64 and63 years of age and have managed  to get residencia  after many months .

We have private medical insurance and have been trying  to get an appointment  with a doctor for 2 months  now with little  success.

I heard that there is some kind of vaccination  drive in Huercal-Overa  shortly. Neither of us has had an injection  and we would like to.

Does anyone  have any information  please?

Thanks

Susan

Have you registered at the social security in Huercal Overa ?, you need your residents card , because you need to register with the health serviice, you will then get your health card posted to you , then. Go to the Salud and register with a doctor , they will allocate a doctor to you, I think there is one doctor in the saludo who speaks english , his name is Docitor Navarro

We were told that as we weren't  working  we could  not register  at social security  that is why we took out private insurance  but we are having  no luck with then. We are insured  with ASSSA.has anyone had experience  with them?

Private health providers are not involved in the vaccination process.  If you are not yet vaccinated, and are not on the state health scheme, then you must first apply to join the health service database as private health user.  To do that you go here:

https://www.sspa.juntadeandalucia.es/servicioandaluzdesalud/archivo-comunicado/alta-en-bdu-para-vacunacion-covid-19-extranjeros-y-espanoles-no-mutualistas-privados?fbclid=IwAR1GdMz-sFKU9EwnByB7dRHraWxJxnk0Ifk7_zLD4fvqwPzAns-B4a4UKM4

Fill in the form, and take it to your local health centre.  We needed to show them our up to date padron too (i.e. issued within the last 3 months), and provide them with a Spanish mobile phone number on which they could text us.

Thank you for the help. Why do I have  to get a padron dated less than 3 months ago? Realise that you have been very helpful  in info but seems I have to renew it ever 3 months for every issue even tho its  valid for 2 yrs.

I think that's two questions:

Q1. Why do I have to show a padron to get on the BDU?

A. I don't know.  It doesn't really fit with the concept that Spain is supposedly keen to vaccinate everyone, and I am not sure what happens to the "underclass" who are not on the padron.  I am assuming that when I was asked for a padron in order to register it was a standard requirement, however it is possible that HO are more open.

Q2. Why do I have to get a new padron every time I want to do something official?

A. I don't know.  I guess they are trying to stop people moving away, but still using their padron entitlement, but it is a massive PITA to have to get a new one every time you need to do anything.  It seems [shrug shoulders] es lo que hay.

Hi. We were in the same situation as you. You need to go to your local health centre and ask to temporarily register for the purpose of vaccination only. In the Huercal Overa health area they have a special form for this. Also take your TIE, padron registration and passport. Keep the receipt as this has your temp Health (AN) number and you will need that when called for vaccination. Once registered you should be contacted with an appointment within s few weeks.

Also, ASSSA and other PHI companies are not involved in vaccination program so cannot help. Your only option is temporary registration at health centre.

Yes that’s correct registering  as temporary, it’s the first desk in the Salud normally they have 2 people working at desks on computer's, you’ll be given a white form to fill in , they last a year these forms, good luck 🤷🏻‍♂️, they require your mobile number to send message with appoint on
