Any form of financial bailout to companies should only be given if executives and senior management take the same pain as their employees.

How idealistic!

We don't hear from you in the 2008 crash , recessions , when you are sick or just off with a hangover ,on your paid holidays where you wind down one for week before , when you make a mistake at work big or small that costs your employer dearly but you still collect your wages on friday , over Christmas when no one wants to work , when your employer is worried about loosing everything not just a wage packet ,when your employer is constantly worried about no win no fee claims from the employees he has fed for years.

You have far more rights than any employer even a guarrenteed rate per hour , you want all these things but not to share the pain in any of the above.

The money is to keep businesses afloat so we can continue in to employ you after this terrible virus has subsided , so don't worry for us because we are used to taking all the pain and sharing it but not used getting assistance like this , a first in my 40 years as an employer who cares deeply for his staff .

Don't be a me me me snowflake , where is the post war attitude where we pull together without looking over your shoulder worrying that somone else might just have a little more than you , try looking the other way there is always someone worse off.

Hi

For your information I to am a retired company director, growing a startup to a £24m turnover with banked profits, and being in the lucky position to sell out 12 years ago.. To catagorise people without knowing them questions the validity of your response. I hope some people will appreciate my comment for what it ment.

"The money is to keep businesses afloat so we can continue in [sic] to employ you"

Absolutely right. It is essential. I think the OP was about how the pay/earnings cuts that employees are undergoing over a long period should also be reflected in the dividends and earnings of the executive management in companies. What is unreasonable about that?
