Sky Q box

Hi Steve,

Sky changed the decoding system last year so nothing other than a sky subscription works.

Your box is only good for free sat here in Spain,   but this far down is almost impossible to get uk freesat tv off even a large dish.

I have a 1.4 Famaval with a Blackshadow lnb and I only get uk tv occasionally depending on weather and orbit details.

With a similar set up in my villa in Alicante, we get hd reception of bbc and itv etc.

I use Wimax 20 mbps and an Android Octacore Box 79.99£   have no problems getting all sky channels appx 480

I would not recommend wasting a large sum of money getting a large dish installed which at best will only give you very few freesat channels.

Send your box back save £100 and buy an Octacore Android box, far more versatile.

I was thinking of doing the android box anyway, is 20 enough from wimax for tv or is it worth going for 30?

I have 20 which is suffice. I even share with a Spanish couple underneath my apartment. I never have a problem even when he is using the internet.

Try 20 you can easily upgrade later if you want to.

Hi, we just swapped from Wimax online to Aplinfo because of very poor customer service and slow/low uploads and downloads as opposed to what we were supposedly paying vs what we got.

We're in Urcal by Huercal overa, the Aplinfo shop is on the bottom road opposite MacGoods supermarket and at the side of a very good butchers.

Hi all. We will be living in Urcal soon. With regard to the Android Octa core box for tv channels. Is there a model number for the box? There seems so many variations.
