Hi everyone!

I am renting out a small house in the country near Urcal for summer holidays. I have a little list of things copied from this forum, for my 'Guest Book' but I would love some more ideas of things to do, expeditions to go on and places of interest to suggest to guests: golf, children's amusements, bike hire, fishing boats, markets, bird watching?? My guests will have cars. And in the winter when we come out (how do you lot endure such heat?) we can go and enjoy them too! thank you very much in advance.

Hi, El Castillo here in San Juan de los Terreros is an interesting place to visit.

You can do a virtual tour of the geoda at Pulpi and it is very good. There is a little museum and the views are amazing.

If they visit during the summer the chiringuito is open.

We have a tourist office in the village with English speaking staff with lots of info on walking routes etc.

Cactus Nijar is amazing.

It is a park of cacti and succulents.

They sell big and small.

There is no pressure to buy from the shop

You can visit the Castle of Huercal-Overa (up on the hill overlooking the town) on Saturdays and Sundays, from 10.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. (summer hours). The cost is 1€ for adults and 50 cents for children. More details of access, etc. is available at the town hall.
