Can you get the virus more than once ?

Its not been confirmed yet  if you could get it again.

However  it's a virus. Once you've had it, providing it does not mutate, you should become immune to it. However,  this is not yet confirmed.

The WHO has released some other details about the virus. Men are more likely to die from it than women. They think.its possibly because more men smoke.

Also people with blood group A (I am) have a slightly higher proportionate risk of death,  AB and B are on par and O are slightly lower. They don't know why though. Either way, there is nothing we can do about these things. Stay safe.

I am pleased to see this question. It’s one I’ve been asking and searching everything available, but no mention of re.infection anywhere. Perhaps it’s because they don’t know enough about it yet

Correct. Lack of information at present as the virus is new. Based on other viruses, people will have anti-bodies form so that will offer protection. 

Real solid information will come out in months/years to come. 

I also gather that 70% ish of the worst affected people are overweight, though I believe that's the UK's figures. Bound to be similar across the world. 

I'm not knocking anyone who has replied, they have been sensible,but I suggest you look up the WHO website for answers. It's a new virus to the experts so I think getting an informed answer on a forum would be difficult.

I am in the UK and my grandson who is a personal trainer has had it twice.He is superfit but said it really knocked him off his feet.However he is now recovering and  self isolating at home.Dont become complacent if you have had it once and think you are ok.When racehorses are travelledby plane,they have a bit of Vick or Vaseline rubbed up their noses.This is to help trap any viruses,and the Vick is wiped out later.It may help you.

Therefore if, as you say, only 70% of coronavirus sufferers are overweight then in fact the non-overweight population is being slightly more affected than the overweight.

Whoopydo opined that 70% of the worst affected were overweight ..... that means 30% weren’t .... offering figures for the percentage of population that is overweight doesn’t suddenly mean that that figure is reversed ... even if at the lower end of the scale, we accept that 72% of over 45s are overweight, that doesn’t somehow mean the statement that 70% of the worst affected are overweight means more non-overweight people are affected ..... it means simply, as it states, that a larger percentage of overweight people as compared to non-overweight are more severely affected ...
