Hi Sue
We're in exactly the same boat and just realised our EHICs expired last week. We've been waiting for two months for the residencia and just hope we can stay healthy until we can get registered. Scary times!

We have been refused outright for new EH1C cards. Had no health cover either here or uk since 10th August. Just been to register our S1 today. Just kept buying meds from pharmacy and hoping for the best x

We have our S1 and our residencia application is in. I have a physical appointment with the INSS in Huercal Overa on 8th Jan. I hope by this time to have a reference for my residencia application so I can give that to the INSS with the rest of my documents then I can (apperently) register with the health centre.
All sounds simple, however, sorting the appointment at the INSS had me spitting feathers and it is impossible to amend my husbands appointment.
All in all it appears that a system that should be fairly straightforward is anything but. Oh I am also told that staff at the INSS make atilla the hun look cuddly🤣
Apparently, some of the agents will accept the justificante reference and some won't

Went and did ours Wednesday. The lady I saw rattled off something in Spanish. I told her I didn’t understand, she rolled her eyes, tutted. Picked up everything I had put on her desk. Got on with it. All over mine and hubbys in 10 minutes. Very painless. I wish I knew more Spanish, she must get very frustrated as well xx
I've just read that my wife needs a legally verified copy of our marriage certificate as she is a dependent. Certificate is in the U.K. and we can't think of a way to get it sorted now with lockdown etc. Does anyone know if it's definitely required?
