Should already be in Garrucha .... I know here at Valle del Este they are starting to roll it out - we are signing up with Airnet. Airnet have offices in Vera and Garrucha - I would ask them
Saludos, Darío
I am with Airnet, since a couple o months, in Garrucha, and it works quiet well.
The office in Garrucha is in the main street.

Hi, very kind of you to respond so quickly. When I eventually arrive in Garrucha I will check them out.
Many thanks, Andrew.

We are in Garrucha and have fibre with Airnet but i will not be renewing the contract with them we pay for 50mb and are lucky to get half of that and it has been patchy i had to phone them as we lost the internet completely for most of one day and they said it was the satellite down link but the speed has not improved.

The thing about Fibre is you pay *up to* a certain speed. You are not guaranteed that speed; so many other factors influence the linespeed, including whether it’s Fibte To The Door or Fibre To The Node. If it’s the latter then the connection between your router and the node will be copper and that will cause some drop in speed. Also take into consideration the abilities of the modem / router itself - that could cause bottlenecks.
Then, once you have the data in, can you actually *use* whatever speed you are getting? Depending on how you connect to your router, that’s another bottleneck .... (i.e. you might connect Wirelessly and have a Wireless N card which would give you a theoretical throughput of 300Mbps .... but that is half-duplex at 150Mbps each way .....)

Thanks Dario, You have certainly given me a lot to think about.. Clearly fibre is an improvement when its direct, but given enough filters it may be no improvement at all. As with most things it is a question of cost and what you hope to get from it.. In my case I will need sufficient speed to view British tv to hopefully a hd standard without interruption. Otherwise I am just a browser, shopper and emailer. So, if I may be so bold as to ask you, what package would suit? Other criteria that may apply are that I will not be in Garrucha for much more than 3 months and rarely do I use a land line to phone. You have been kind enough to respond in the first instance, so I am, conscious of pushing my luck, but I would value your opinion.
Kind regards, Andrew
if you only want it for three months you would have to go to Next as i think they are the only ones who would do a short term contract and that would not be fibre.

No problems Andrew,
A 50Mbps package would certainly be more than ample to watch streaming TV (I comfortably watch Netflix etc on a 4G 15 - 20 Mbps connection at the moment)
That all being said, your time in Garrucha MAY present an issue to companies that are looking for contracts..... I can only suggest you contact Airnet and see what they suggest
