Hi

My partner and myself are hoping to rent in the new year.

We are hoping to find English speaking people or meet ups in Garrucha/Las Marinas area.

Are there any clubs etc that we could join?

Kind regards

Katie

Hi,

Check out The Almeria Focus Magazine and Directory. About P 106 onwards. Clubs, Societies, Activities. Also on line version.

Hope that helps. The Mag.is free monthly from all manner of Brit outlets.

Best Wishes,

Bob and Sandra

Hi Katie

You will find it very friendly down here. Something strange seems to happen to British people when they step of the planes here (in a very good way).

My husband and I have been here 2 months we go back to the UK in December.  We've met so many lovely helpful people, that we are planning on coming back next year. There are many groups clubs etc depending on your interests. Do you have any particular interests?

If you like  music you'll love the live music scene here.

As the previous message says there are several free papers and magazines that give loads of information.

Let me know if you need to know anything more specific or tell me your interests and I'll share what we've learnt.

You'll have a great time.

Anne

I live in las marinas on the edge of Garrucha.  The town is very Spanish but if you go towards las Buganvilas you'll find alot of British people. Clubs? Well it does depend if you are mobile.  There are live music venues around the pueblo Laguna area and British bars.  Bowling clubs in and around the area, also a ladies choir always looking for recruits. As has been suggested get the Focus magazine at the back there is a list of clubs etc. Good luck.

Hi Katie

Why don´t you and your husband come along to my Yoga class at Mojacar Sports Centre. It happens twice a week, every Monday and Friday from 11.00 - 12.15. You would be very welcome to come along and try a complimentary class to see if you enjoy it. I have a lovely group of Yoginis of all ages and levels of experience. Usually after the class anyone of us who are free go over the road to the little cafe opposite and enjoy a coffee and a chat together. You don´t need any equipment, I provide it all. Just come in loose clothing that you can move in. So come along and get bendy with us! Visit my Facebook page  for more details: Sue Lewis Yoga.
