Looking for a dog sitter

Hi, depending on what dates you are looking for you should able able to find someone but a lot get booked up well in advance. Also get quotes on cost as they range from 15 to around 30 euros a day. We have 4 big dogs, Spanish Mastins so as soon as we know we need someone we book them. There is an organisation who regularly have a column in the Euro Weekly News called (I think) Trusted House Sitters. You pay a fee of around 50 euros a year and people will come for free. Not used them yet but have thought about them and are supposed to be very good.

Hi Paul, we have been ringing around & yes the price does vary but there either booked up or have visitors themselves. We also have big dogs, Irish wolfhounds & we had a very nice lady that sat for us but she doesn’t live here now. We could always do a deal where you or your partner come & look after our dogs & then one of us can come & look after yours when you need to go away! 😄

We have the problem that both my right hip and knee are virtually worn out so really struggle when on my own with the dogs. We are actually looking to move as we need more garden area so we can cut down on walks. We have someone interested in our house but the houses we are looking at are around the Sax area which is about 30 mins nw of Alicante.

What dates are you looking at anyway? Let me know and will see if any of our sitters are available.

Hi, we were looking at the first week in October, a bit short notice but something has come up back home so need to go to sort it out.

We are also looking to sell but to downsize as now we only have the 3 we don’t need the land!

HI Carol, we can't help that week as I have a hospital appointment at Granada hospital and will be there 2 dys first week in October. Will see if any of our sitters are available and will let you know.

There is a lady on Facebook who I contacted a couple of weeks ago who put an add on there. Her name is Michelle Bisp who lives near Oria. She charges 20 euros a day and would charge for fuel to get to you but it may be an option. Her number is 950936157, may be worth giving her a try as I am sure 2 of our sitters are booked as there is a trip that week.

There is also another guy on Facebook who I recently contacted and not sure but I think he has something to do with K9 kennels near Taberno. His name is Kris Greener, is friends on Facebook with Angel at the vets in Huercal Overa so you would be able to get him verified there.
