Hi we are hoping to come move out shortly..and was wondering if anyone could recommend any health insurance as both my hubby and I are in our late 50’s (hubby’s 58 and I’m 53)...also is it better to have it before we move to Spain or get it when we move there? Also can anyone recommend a Spanish bank and again same question is it better to get it before or after we move? Many thanks..

when you say move out shortly do you mean this year and are you going to rent or buy a property? you will need health insurance to get a residencia and from what I have read it doesn't look cheap depending on health issues as for a bank account you will need that to pay your bills have you got an NIE number yet?

Hi thank you for your reply...we will be moving out there this year (hoping for the beginning of October) we are buying a property...looking for recommendations for health care insurance and which bank is the best to go with also do we needs these before we move out there or get them when we get out there...

you will need to get the help of a good solicitor recommend Angela Morales in Mojacar email [email protected] to get your NIE and put residencia into action asap. it will be very expensive after 31 Dec. we use the Cajamar bank and have done so for 16 years with no problems you can open that when you arrive. you say you are buying a property have you already got it? or a you looking when you arrive?
