I think you should be ok, but certainly not 'rolling in it', as you have to think of electricity which is expensive here, internet charges maybe, insurances (car and home),emergency fund in case of extra expenses like car maintenance or repairs and imported foods from the UK are expensive here as are convenience foods of most types. I usually cook from scratch here. I also rarely eat out more than once a week and it is usually a 'Menu del Dia' - About 11 Euros each for 3 courses often including a drink. You may want a pet and have to think of food, vet's expenses and occasionally boarding kennels if you go away, and also you need to make a tax return every year and that's another thing you might have to pay someone to help you with if you don't speak enough Spanish. You will have various expenses like Spanish EEC driving licence - cheap if you can do it yourself but not if you have to employ a gestor yo help you. You will live reasonably but it won't be like bring on holiday.,
