Hi. We used Firefly in Dec 2019. Booked on line in the uk and paid for fully covered insurance so no hidden extras to pay when we picked the car up at the airport.

We had no trouble or hidden costs with firefly. Everyone has different experiences I guess.

Hi Sue

just seen your post.

I can highly recommend Flamenca Cars. They meet you at Covera. There is no ‘extras’ to pay such as Insurance Excess waiver. This because their rates auto includes this. We do not use anyone else now because their rates are v good, but more importantly they do not try to rip you off. Plus if you use 4 times or more pa, you get a permanent 10%.

I never thought I would say this, because of bad experience with Goldcar elsewhere, and criticism of them by others,  however in the interests of fairness.   'Rental cars .com'   lead to us renting from 'Inter rent' for a week for £60.00ish in total.  Collection turned out to be in in 'GoldCar'  office to our dismay,  was however was OK , even the fact we were not in the market for extra insurance etc etc was not unduly queried.  The car was not the newest or unscratched, but it went absolutely fine, no problems at all.  We filled up at Corvera, a few miles from the airport before return.  We handed it over in the car park, no problems at all, the lady even rushed off and collected a trolley for us.  Nothing has subsequently been added to our bill..  Perhaps the leopard has changed its spots?
