Hi Yoka

The way I understand it at present is that unless you are Spanish or have a residencia card you will not be allowed to travel into Spain before the end of June irrespective of whether one owns property here or not. It would seem that the dates about when the SoA will be lifted are still somewhat vague. But as it stands Phase 4 of the easing of restrictions is not going to finish before the end of June.

I believe that after the SoA has been lifted there will be no quarantine although it seems EU countries and UK have different ideas about this and so this is a moving feast as well.

Probably one of the best and most reliable ways to find out is to check with your chosen airline/route. If they are not flying there will be a reason.

UK.Gov website is probably a good place to check as well as airlines but I'm pretty sure it will be July before your daughter even has a chance of getting here.

Good luck.

Hi Yoka and all.

Firstly, I trust all yourselves and family are safe and well, wherever you are!

In terms of flying to Spain.  As stated, the best way is to check with your respective Governments website, as well as the usual airlines that you would usually travel with. The word from the Spanish sites are, July will be the possible date from when they are due to open their borders. So that sounds a good guide.

I’m in the UK and fell foul to my over eagerness, in booking flights for 19th June (having saw that Jet2 were advertising they were now operating flights from 17th June). Having booked it on Monday 18th May (took my payment and confirmed), they advised me by email on the Thursday 21st May, that the flight would not take place. So I will either get a voucher, re-book for free, or if I do nothing, I get a refund!

I have now booked for late July and will just hope that when they do open, we get no adverse backlash to the virus. I guess, we all have to hope and pray that we overcome this together and try and move forward. Things will never be the same again, but hopefully applying common sense and being more aware, will help educate us to look out for each other by wearing face masks and abiding by the new travel rules that each airport will be outlining.

Stay safe and happy travelling, when we do board our next flights!

Dan
