Hi,
I am absolutely clueless about establishing Residencia. We will finalise our Cantoria Villa Purchase in early November and I feel we are running out of time before 31st December. Can someone explain (in simple straightforward terms) about the Padron and Residencia and most importantly how long it generally takes.
Padron: You get this from your local Ayantamento (Town Hall) you will need your passports and proof of your address using the property deeds or rental contract. They will then process the application which takes about 5-7 days.
Residencia, Your solicitor can arranged this for you or you can use someone like CATS Services in La Alfoquia to do it for you.
