This may seem a stupid question, but have you actually visited the area that the property is in - or even the property?  I would suggest that you have a good look round and even rent before you commit to buy in an area that you don't seem to know much about. Sorry if I seem to be stating the obvious!

I feel sure I shall be ridiculed for this but we used to have friends in Cantoria some years ago who have since emigrated.to New Zealand. We thought the entire area grotty, if that is an acceptable term. We also understand that there are illegal properties in this area. In fact we visited one chap on business and the several unfinished properties around him were scheduled for demolition.

Also too far inland for us which is why one of our properties is coastal.

Still, totally agree with previous poster but then with property it is 'horses for courses' & of course those living there have to love it.

Best Wishes,

Bob and Sandra

There used to be a guy who was full of giving advice to expats. He claimed to live in Arboleas  in La Cinta. He did live in La Cinta but the Cantoria part.Los Morillos is another bario in two parts. Albanchez and Cantoria. The point I am making is that you need to be specific as to which part of Cantoria you are talking about.

I moved to Cantoria  from the U.K. a week ago and love it here. It’s a small, quiet, typically Spanish town with some newer residential areas. Plenty of cafes, bars & shops.

45 mins from the coast but you get far more property for your money

Albox is only a ten minute drive. Handy for bigger shops, etc., but I wouldn’t want to live there, too busy for me.
