If on Irish passport, then Residencia rules still apply.  Financial requirement is 9.050€ savings in a Bank account or income of 5.200€ per annum.  Proveable only once.  You’ll also need a Padrón and Health insurance

The figures quoted are for a UK passport holder - on an Irish Passport you are an EU citizen, so Residencia rules apply

There’s plenty out here that can assist - depends on where you settle.

It most certainly can be - but once you get here, and get settled, you’ll find it a lot easier.  Also don’t worry about ALL the things you have to do - it’s like eating an Elephant … one bite at a time

Lol think.i will be eating a few elephants. Never been to spain but feel the time of life is right to leave thec"rat race if the UK"& have a healthier stress free life whilst im still able too as the years are flying by tooooo quickly. I looked at costa blanca&costa del.sol but i kerp being drawn more to costa del sol areas(almaria, andalusia areas as its very beautiful). I would be look8ng to buy slightly inland and love the look of cave living as i also want to get a couple rescue dogs to accompany me on long walks. I need to be within distance of amenities. I would live to give up driving but will depend on where i buy. Happy to get a bike&use public transport. Thankfully im not a lover of shopping just for food etc. Oh.to have a slower pace of life which sadly costs money but you cant take it with you so may as well enjoy what i have worked hard for. 😁

Well if you want to live a little inland and live caves, you’d be looking in and around Cuevas de Almanzora; your biggest challenge will be giving up driving because the further outside the main population centres you get, the less available public transport is.  But getting a couple of rescue dogs - there are a couple of rescue organizations here and either I or someone else can put you in touch with reputable irganisations looking to rehome dogs.

It’s certainly a much slower pace of life; don’t be tempted to buy the first thing you see though and if you’ve never been here before, don’t fall in love with a place over the Internet - the reality can be quite different!  Why not come iver for a holiday (when borders here open for tourism) while you are waiting for your Irish passport and see a few different areas? Have a look at the coast, just to make sure it’s not what you want, then also have a look inland.  Spend a couple if weeks just visiting different areas, see what calls to you - then when you are ready to move, you at least have a bit of an idea where you might want to settle.

Do you want a heavily expat area, or somewhere with more local flavor?
