We are looking to install security cctv cameras to the outside of our cortijo in Velez Rubio.  Anyone know of local suppliers and fitters please.

Hello

we have 2 Arlo Go cameras at our holiday home in Bedar. they work on the mobile network so no internet connection required, no wires, but you have to pay Vodaphone £4 per month for the sim card in the camera... it sends notifications  / video clips to our mobile phone.. instantly...  we have solar panels connected to the cameras so no chance of the battery failing & they've been working over 12 months with no issues.

you might be looking for something more substantial, i.e. constant recording to a hard drive, but they might be worth looking into..

it has been very enlightening seeing who's wondering around our property in our absence... and how overgrown the garden is!

hi,

yes, this system can get expensive if having lots of cameras about the place...

it has been great for us viewing remotely in UK but agree, not as a complete home security system.

good luck,

julie

Hi, we brought them over from UK, from Amazon..  the solar panel was brought off Argos as it was cheaper at the time.. a bit pricey, but gives us peace of mind...  we tried them at our uk address before taking them to Spain.. Reolink also do similar set up, cheaper than Arlo, we tried one at our uk home but couldn't get it to connect to the mobile network.. didnt want to risk it not working in spain so swopped for the Arlo.
