Hi all,

Im sure this subject has been discussed many times but can somebody help me to understand it more clearly please?

I bought a house in September 2021 I have spent 7 days there 9.10.21 and then 15 days there from 31.10.21 I am now back in England and want to plan my next trip without breaking any rules, is it true I cannot come to my own property after 7.1.22 for for 90 days? 😭 Thanks

Hi,

From what I understand and I could be wrong ….. your 180 days start from the first date of entry which would mean, if I understand it that you have until early April 2022 to use up your remaining 65 days.

I believe the 90 days start from when you enter, and then runs for 180 days. I've attached a link that hopefully will work.

Count back 180 days.  If you have spent 90 days in Schengen, in that 180 days you must exit for equivalent period.  That’s an almost direct quote from one of the various online Schengen stay calculators.  Don’t guess - use a calculator to tell you exactly how much time you have left.

Try https://ec.europa.eu/assets/home/visa-calculator/calculator.htm?lang=en

Thanks, is this rule for everyone ie holiday makers or just people who own a property? 🤔

It is also a rolling 180 days so everytime you enter a shengen country starts another 180 days.  Hope you understand this.
