Hi does anyone know where I can buy Spanish Christmas cards if they actually exist as I have only found a few in Spar in San Juan. Thank you.

Thank you, I'll try our two Chinese shops here in San Juan first then wander further if I have not found any. I am looking for Spanish Christmas cards to send to our family and friends in the UK not English ones. Someone has already told me that they don't exist because the Spanish people do not send them so they aren't made here!

No neither the Spanish nor indeed the French send Christmas cards.  But i expect the Chinese bazaar ones were made in China!   There may be one or two in Forget me Not card shop in las Buganvillas come to think of it.  We only send to close friends and family now in UK because of all the delays in delivering.  We prefer to give our postage money to PAWS animal charity.

Sure Alicia, but if I were in Saudi Arabia and asked where I could get some nice roast pork, I would be pleased to be told where I could get nice roast lamb to substitute...

Different countries celebrate the Christmas season differently, even emphasising different days, the English have stockings under the tree on Christmas Eve, Spanish children put out shoes on the sixth of January for the Three Kings to fill; the English eat turkey, Austrians hope for a  large carp for Christmas lunch.

I think Christmas cards started about a hundred and fifty years ago in England. We change lots in a lifetime, but at Christmas we like to recall the times of our youth - I wonder if readers from different countries could tell of beloved customs from home that they still celebrate, under the lovely Spanish sun?

Thank you. I found some packs of Spanish charity Christmas cards in Spar in Terreros and cards at the Sunday market at Villaricos. Thanks everyone and Happy Christmas to you all. Let's hope we have a better New Year and we can get back to normal life again soon.
