Hi David, I dont know about the Non Lucrative bit. but I do know about asthma, basically you are on your own, you can buy  a blue Ventolin  inhaler from the farmacia very cheaply without a prescription, the brown steriod one that you have in the UK they dont do here they have a steriod one but it is weaker not the same strength as the UK one, there are no 'Asthma Nurses'  and no call back regular checkups. None of this bothers me as I have had Asthma since birth so I know what to do if I have an attack, or more to the point preventing one. But if you are new to Asthma then you might need some back up. You can of course take your self off to the medical centre or A&E if you have an attack.  I hope this helps with your decision.

Thank you. I too have had asthma since birth. Thankfully it is very mild. Rarely use the Ventolin but do use the steroid. In all honesty probably wouldn't need any in such a dry climate.

Hi David, Thats what I thought, dry climate Asthma better, But although my Asthma is a lot better than the UK, when I first arrived (12 years ago) I found I was allergic to something around about September time, so come prepared. and good luck with your Non lucrative application.
