Went to town hall this week and got mine, it runs from 11.11.2021 until 15.5.2022.

No appointment needed just take your Nie and the receptionist gives you a ticket as you enter the building. 

If it's a brand new request you will likely need passport and proof of address from your deeds.

Otherwise take old licence to show what you need if Spanish is not so good. They will give you the licence to fill in so just copy details from your previous one.
