Hi, I have seen a lot of confusing and varied comments on the subject but can someone explain EXACTLY how I get my pension paid in Spain. I am just about to move to Cantoria and obtain Residencia. What is an S1 and should I use a Gestor for this part? I am going to use one for Residencia.

if you are talking about your State Pension then you contact Pensions Dept in Newcastle look on Gov.com and you can also get details on how to get your S1 from the same site.  CATS will help you with both the S1 registration and the residencia.  For a private pension you should get your banking details for a Spanish bank and ask your pension provider to pay your pension into that account. Remember that the rate of the euro to the pound goes up and down so you will not get the same amount every month

Just one point you’ll need to check, from a reply you’ve had,  some personal pension providers will not send your pension payments to a non Uk bank. I have mine paid to my Uk account and transfer across when exchange rates are favourable. We used Cats for a number of things.
