Downloading NHS medical notes

Hi I wonder if anyone else has had problems downloading medical information sent to them by NHS via CD.
I cant get them to download on my computer it might be that it is old.
Has anyone got any suggestions I need them downloaded and printed off.
Or is there a place not CATS as have tried them where I can get this sorted.
I would be really grateful as have an upcoming appt with the Hospital.
