Hi Everyone, my husband and I are relocating to Almeria in January. We are looking to rent for a few months to give us time to sort out padron, residencia etc and look for a house to buy. I know every town hall has their own requirements re padron. Can anyone tell me whether the minimum requirement for Arboleas on the rental is 3 or 6 months or other? I'm an EU citizen, so residencia is no issue (and we're getting help with this) but we know we need padron for pretty much everything. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Hi I’m not sure what the official requirements are but my own experience was that we were in a 4 month rental in Arboleas. After being there 4-6 weeks we went to Arboleas town hall and got our padron. We needed copy of our rental agreement, passports, (Irish passports) not sure if that makes a difference. Can’t remember if we needed our NIE number before or after we got the padron. The staff in Arboleas town hall were very friendly and tolerant of our limited Spanish language skills.
