We recently bought in Mojacar and used Angela Morales Solar, about 50 yards from the Mojacar roundabout. I cannot recommend them highly enough, they were absolutely superb, we live in the UK so gave them POA and our purchase was seamless, contact Chloe (english lady) on [email protected] or call them on 00 34 950 478 984I don’t know what, if anything, they know about buying property in the Cabrera’s but a phone call or email would no doubt clarify for you.

lots of problem properties in Arboleas some still not legal after 17 years so tread carefully.  check with the townhall what they know about the property and use a solicitor that knows the area well but that's not always a local one.  read the Arboleas forum for background information Roger who posts on there knows the most. 

Thank you for the great information, can we do any of the checking from the UK ? Also we would want a building survey/inspection carried out but we cannot find any companies that do this and we do not want to be lead by the estate agent we want a independent person checking the property , does anybody know of a company that offers this service.

unlike the UK in Spain it is very rare to have a survey done before purchase so hard to find someone who can do it for you.  as I said before read the Arboleas forum for information on Innovation 14 in that area and illegal property problems if you join you could PM Roger the ex councillor who knows everything there is to know in that village and can also recommend you a solicitor.
