It's Bob again. When we moved out here in 2003 and purchased the mountain & 150yr old partly restored finca we could get no one to come up and work and the prices some were quoting were ridiculous. We were once quoted 30€/hr. Those were the days of the cowboys although some are still around. We were saved by an English friend who on weekends would arrive with his Spanish neighbour, Bartoli, who worked in the week for a Building Contractor. Jeff was free and Bartoli was 10€/hr and they saved me 1000s & the work was excellent. They are both gone now!!!!!. So I have a lot of time for the Spanish worker & less likely to rip you.off. If you have an interpretor, as we did, brilliant, also there's Google Translate & you can ask to see other work he has done. Explore all options. It took us years to finish the cottage so don't  rush and get quotes. It's your money.

Sorry for the delay but my wife is very ill, now recovering so i have more time.  yes Spanish builder do everything except plumbing and electrics.
