Getting married in Spain.

Before I post my message I would like to say that a lot of requests on this forum could be answered by just Googling the question. I have tried without success.

My fiance and I want to get married in Arboleas. I know what documents we require but the last step is to get them apostillized (a method of keeping someone in the manner they have become accustomed to). Has anyone on this forum married in Spain? If so can you give me a link to the solicitor, notario that does this?

Apostalised is getting your documents formally accredited by the government agency that originally issued them. So - for example - that could be the National Registry Office UK. It’s not cheap and we had to have our original marriage certificate reissued and apostalised by the London offices for Spanish residency purposes.

There are also a couple of independent organizations who offer this service. I have used https://www.apostille.org.uk/ in the past successfully to have certain documents recognised here.

May be worth looking at their website - it can all be done online
