Hello, I am new to this group and joined because myself and my husband Gary are currently going through the process of buying a property in Arboleas.

We need to begin the process of applying for our Non-lucrative visas but need some help and advice.

We know that we need to do this from the UK. We have done lots of research but still have unanswered questions and the Spanish Consulate in the UK are difficult to get hold of. We are am considering using a Company to help us.

Can anyone suggest where we can go for the best help please? Any personal recommendations?

We have applied for our NIE numbers already.

Many many thanks 🙏

You will get your NIE no ,on your visa no need to apply seperatly. We used Jlc lawers based in barcelona with an office in london for a set price, they bent over backwards to help and made sure we had everything and more to hand when applying for our NLVs

Good afternoon and many thanks indeed for your response to my query regarding Non Lucrative Visas.
We have now found a Company to help who seem very reasonable and very responsive but thank you anyway.
Best wishes, Nicola

Hi.

We got our NLVs in December.

My strong advice is use a specialist solicitor. For both of us, including appointments etc it was a fixed fee of 1400e. Plus translation of documents about 120e. The visa fee of 660e each is on top of that.

We used JLCA Lawyers of Alicante on recommendation, they have a London office and were frankly, brilliant.

Once you get your NLVs the problem of getting the TIEs begin, it took us 7 months to get an appointment because there is a huge backlog. However there is a brilliant Gestor in Mojacar who secured them in the end.

Again. Use a professional, it is a difficult process.

Thank you very much indeed.
We do have an appointment with MSV on Friday to obtain an official legal consultation and were looking to use them as they have been super efficient and responsive already but it’s always good to have another recommendation and the fees that you have quoted seem very fair.

Did they organise translations and Apostles for you as well please, also complete the EX01 etc?

Best wishes Nicky

Yes. Everything, including taking us to the processing centre in London.

If you are over retirement age, they will register your S1 documents too.
