No, not too late.  You are supposed to show savings over a three month period, and as long as it is close to that at the time of your appointment you should be fine.  As the year draws to a close by the time you get here, appointments are being pushed out further and further.  You don’t have to have money in the bank for three months at time of applying for appointment and as long as you have a Padrón to show you arrived before 31/12, again you should be fine.

To be on the safe side, you’d be well advised applying for the appointment before year end - even if it’s late January or February it doesn’t matter - it’s when you arrive and to a lesser extent when you apply for the appointment that matters.

So get the money into the bank when it’s available, make the first thing you do when you get here to be registering on the Padrón, then begin applying for appointments - within reason you’ll be able to select a date that suits you, so you can push it out a bit.

Hi DarioMartin,

thank you so very much, it was MASA solicitors on you tube that said that,  what I have to content now is not only selling my house on time but the WPD are now having a review on exportable benefits so halting all S1, and after speaking to them yesterday they said they have know fix date when it will done, it seems to be a very convenient time for them to do this now leaving many people in a very difficult situation after like me selling up to move in time,
