I'm no great employment advice expert. But, if there is one trade on the Costas that has a turnaround greater than any other, it is hairdressing. Costa Almería needs another hairdresser like Ireland needs Brexit.

Hairdressing services are over provided and the cost of services in Spain is far cheaper than in Ireland or UK. You want to work in a salon; the best you can hope for is for you to rent a chair. This rent will never get cheaper. It is only a matter of time before you discover you are working for little or nothing.

You can provide personal hairdressing services to clients outside of the salon area. It will take time to build up clientele. It can be done though, but you will have to work at your service. The competition is fierce and you'll need plenty of financial back-up.

I wish you the best of luck.

Hi Melbev

There certainly are alot of hairdressers and far cheaper than the UK.  Which means i personally go to the hairdressers more often.

Its taken me a while to find a hairdresser i like (that is professional) and drive I now 40 mins to mine.

Good luck.
