We have been asked to appear on Sun Sea & Selling houses, we are filming on Sunday and Monday next week our 5 mins of fame!

Yep. Although our house appeared in the last season, we didn't. Fortunately for us, the couple who viewed it didn't like it as much as their previous property.

Found all 3 agents very helpful and viewed some good villas.  Simon from Coles of Andalucia was amazing and I would say found me the perfect property. However Corona Virus stops play! The euro has shot down so not the best time to buy I will have to wait to see what happens next.

That's great news. Covid-19 has scuppered my plants to come over so it's playing the waiting game for flights to resume and the lockdown to be lifted. 

Do you mind saying which areas you liked the most.

I have settled on the Arboleas area and have been looking for somewhere about 10 mins out of town. The town is big enough for what I want and also lovely countryside. There are quite a few different areas whether you want somewhere isolated or in more of a community. I have also spoken to people from the area and there is plenty to do, ex pats organising  various clubs, outings etc. There also appears to be a nice mix of Europeans and Spanish which is what I'm after. I to am playing the waiting game so may end up renting to start if I loose out on the Villa I have seen. Anyway good luck with your search and maybe when we get there we will met up somewhere.

A bit late I agree.  I have an apartment in Palomares at the moment I am renting, but I want to sell it.  Palomares is a lovely friendly  village, unspoilt with a mixture of ex pats and Spanish. I have put my plans to move to Spain on hold for now because of the virus. My estate agents here are probably closing as of next week and my house still has to sell. I am in the position of having a semi detached house with planning permission for an end of terrace to be built so concentrating on builders to buy. However I am now getting stupid offers from builders who believe we are going into recession and are offering stupid amounts of money to 'take it off my hands'.... not going to happen!

When everything has settled down I will start to make new plans and it could be to rent my house out and rent in Spain.

Didn't get to appear on Sun Sea and Selling Houses, it was cancelled. Did manage to get back to England though before the 'lock down'.. Hope all's well with you and every one else in Almeria, I think we in England are about 2 weeks behind you with this terrible Virus.

Very sensible. Keep in touch because my place will probably still be available. I’m glad I kept my house in the UK, I know people that didn’t and they are not in a good position right now.
