Good luck with your move. My husband and I (64 & 52 respectively) moved to Garrucha nearly 2 years ago. No regrets. We absolutely love it. I’d agree with others. Do your research, get a good solicitor/ gestor, ensure your property is legal, and don’t forget to add taxes to the agreed price. Get legal residency as soon as you can. I wish we had brought more of our furniture with us. I left a beautiful oak sideboard which I regret.

Hi. I wish I could help you, but I cant.
The missus and I have been here in very nearby El Prado for nearly three weeks and we wouldn't be able to tell you anything negative.
Choosing where you are going to live is based on what type of life you want. Arboleas is pretty small and very quiet and peaceful. We're retired and absolutely love the slow pace of life and incredibly friendly people. If you're looking for big town, huge supermarkets and loads of night life, then you would need to look elsewhere. That certainly isn't a negative comment because this exactly the type off life we want.
My advice is before you even think about "where" you must first consider how you see yourself spending your time here in Spain.
I wish you the best of luck. Lee

Thanks mate. Three weeks and I reckon we'll finish unpacking in another month. 👍😂
Hi, sorry that you are not certain where you live. El Prado (Local Spanish, El Prow). this is one of the many districts (barios) of Arboleas. Now to the point I wish to make. You could not make a better decision than to purchase in Arboleas, we have a honest lord mayor (Alcalde) who works for all of his constituents, in my opinion rare in Spain.
Almost forgot to say, I have lived here since March 1992 so not quite certain if I will be staying or not.
