Hi, we're up/over in Urcal by Huercal Overa, both retired, we've left UK pensions in UK and either transfer or just pay or do hole in the wall to get funds.
Thanks for that so how much do you loose when getting it out of hole in wall .is that the best way to do it? Kay

Hi, when you use hole in the wall or buy shopping on debit/credit card I usually find an exchange fee of around .50 pence sometimes less.
You can opt to pay for shopping in euros or pounds, the other day I withdrew about €40 and the quoted rate was a rather miserable €1 per £1, one for one I suppose but as you'll have noticed, the exchange rate goes up and down like a yo-yo, some banks may pay you a slightly better rate.
Small amounts we use hole in the wall, very large amounts use a transfer service and make as few transfers of large amounts as you can especially if buying big stuff like cars, fly free enclosures.
, tho to buy big stuff like a car for instance you'll need an NIE number, passport, tho different stores have different rules. Most everything inc white goods tv's etc come with a 2 year guarantee. Keep all the boxes and receipts, foto copied so that if theres ever a problem the supplier wont quibble and either swap out the defective appliance, tv etc or worst case send it away for repair or estimate, again, depends on which store, some are much better than others.
Have fun, forget about Brexit and just watch tge world go by, put your feet up and enjoy lol.
Thanks again I'm sure il be bk with more questions.

Hi Kay and John
We too, are coming out in March to view, we are looking at similar areas as yourselves, we won’t be moving lock stock and barrel just yet, we still have to stay put in Blighty for a couple more years, but will be coming out every month, that’s if we ever find a property! We have been looking for a while and we came out in January to check out coastal areas. Now we are looking more inland.
Good luck with your house hunting
Liz and Gary

Hi Kay and John
Good luck on your house move. Just in case you are still hunting, we are looking to sell our lovely villa in Arboleas at the end of this year after 12 years. Its a 3 bed, pool, large plot, walking distance from the village. Will be on market at E275k - if you were interested in more info, let me know.
Kind regards
Mandy
Hi, glad to hear that your going to take the plunge, we came here on three visits, on our own January, March and April, they are the coldest months, average 19c / 22c in the day time, drops in the night and that depends on where you decide to live.
Been here for 21 yrs now it's still great if you enjoy the Spanish couture, if you want Tescos and corner shops and police cars roaring up and down, that's not here. Lol
Any help I can give on any subject at all, are you on email? bit more private I think.
Regards
David
Hi Liz, Gary
Glad to see you've been looking around the area, Andalucia is the largest registered desert in Europe so we have the best climate here in Vera Area than anywhere else in Spain, 8/10 inches of rain per year.
Anything you want to know, just ask, we've been here 21yrs Spain is much more that satellite TVs,
My email is [email protected]
Regards
David
