Arboleas is made up if a number of quite spread out hamlets plus the main village itself. Some hamlets have facilities such as a bar/restaurant/shop such as La Cinta or Limaria others do not. We live in La Judea which is 10 minutes walk to the main village with banks, shops, pharmacy and a numbers if bars and other facilities. The scenery is beautiful and it's a friendly community, however, it's very British with a few Belgians, Dutch and other nationalities, si if you're looking for a place that feels more authentically Spanish look a little further from the coast.

Or further south, Lubrin, Sorbas, Uleila and all the hamlets in between (we live in one of the hamlets, love the space, nature, peace and general quietness), and generally much more spanish

you'll need a car as little public transport but plenty of infrastructure like shops, bank, dentist, farmacia and medical centre.  Also Albox close by and a bigger place with British shops if you want that.   Big British population and some Belgiums, French and Germans the Spanish population are mainly in the village and the smaller older areas around.  The new areas are mainly British and some are still not legal so buyer beware.

some of La Perla is fully legal some have AFOs and some are still pending and illegal.  Best to ask in the townhall for specific properties.  Calle Sherezade has just gone down the AFO route and there may be properties for sale in that street.
