King size bed size

Large double is 150 x 190.

Hope that's correct.

Hold on! Hold on! Spanish King Size probably is not the same as UK King Size. Furthermore, Spanish Double Bed does not have the same dimensions as UK Double Bed.

If you have a Spanish King Size or a UK King Size bed in your new property you'll have to measure the length and width. Then you can shop for the mattress, duvets and sheets.

Don't get confused when the Spanish speaking salesperson keeps using the word "Matrimonio" referring to bed linen or mattresses. "Matriminio" merely means Double Bed as in Spanish measurements.

I keep getting myself into trouble at markets when I hear the word "Matrimonio" being used and the naive English speaking customer is led to believe that this is King Size as in UK King Size. Usually, I translate for the naive customer who sometimes tells me to mind my own beeswax. What more can I do?

Check out the Facebook page "Me & Mrs. Jones Furniture & Bedding".  They stock British good quality British linen.  They are in Mojacar but also have a stall at the Los Llanos market on Saturday mornings.  I am not sure if they stock Spanish bed sizes, but I am sure they can advise you on what size to get.

I bought bed linen in Ikea Murcia and the fitted sheets were gynormous so had to tuck the end under.  But can't find correct size for our Spanish bed mattress even in Spanish shops so made do.  Bed is slightly larger width than normal 150.

I've got to scond what Mrs Zohor said, the Me & Mrs Jones people in Mojacar Playa near Bankía are excellent. Only thing, you go in there to buy a duvet cover and suddenly you've bought more pillows, a half dozen pillow cases,, more linen, perhaps a couple of duvets,, ten more pictures for the wall, a spare bed, another bed (foldable) just in case, a couple of bedside cabinets and all before Mr Jones opens his mouth. Excellent shop.,
