Hi,

Absolutely. When I retired from HM Forces I was on Disability Allowance & this was paid directly to Spain until OAP. It also entitled myself  and wife to reciprocal Spanish Healthcare.

Forms & info from DWP. Look online.

Hi,

Retirement age is determined by DWP UK. It is nothing to do with Spain. One assumes you wouldn't be intending to work legally out here as that would be entirely different.

Would you be renting or buying? Will you have transport as public transport out here is appalling generally.

Most towns & villages out here have substantial Brit populations but

Albox, Arboleas, Garrucha, Vera Playa, Mojacar & Mojacar Playa, Huercal Overa.

Hope that helps.

Yes they are but you need to inform them A.S.P you can either have it paid into your spanish bank or UK bank whichever is convenient you can also apply to works and pensions for the individual health cover on the S1 which will then have to be registered in Spain to get medical cover.

Hi,

You will be going for Residencia then whatever that means after Brexit. If you are not processing for Residencia then you use your EHIC & Passport but again who knows what changes with occur.

Everything was so simpler 15yr ago.

Suggest you use a facilitating agency like CAT SERVICES of La Alfoquia or Golden Leaves of Turre. It will minimize frustration.

Both on Google Search.

Hi Bob,

Thanks again, it is a bit scary thinking about moving to Spain with Brexit , don't know whether I should move before or after next  march ,  it's hard enough moving on your own without this Brexit problem .

Kind regards,

Deborah..

Believe you me its causing us some concerns as well. The Spanish do love their bureaucracy and one feels there will be changes.

If we were planning a move here now, we would rent.
