Thank you sounds like a good place for us to change into the Spanish way of life without being too full on

As Jen Jen said, Arboleas has turned into little Britain.
Can I ask a question?

Why come to Spain to live with ex-pats? Why not full on Spain? The people I have met over the years who get most out of life here are the people who immerse themselves in the Spanish way, with Spanish friends etc.

Please give it a try, it will be worth it.

Things seem to be taking a turn from my original post I only asked if there were any ex pats or social groups to assist in our transition into the Spanish way of life

take no notice Dave2020 it's just the way forums go!  in Albox near to Arboleas there is the Group of Friends Almanzora.  They run a library and when Covid allows trips out and about, it's English run but you can get Spanish lessons there and assistance.  To join costs 12euros each a year and for that you get a monthly mag with lots of info and can take as many books to read as you want and they have a lot.  they also run quiz nights and other events when they can.  well worth joining if you come here.  they also have a Spanish/English coffee group where you can practise your lingo.  you could even volunteer to work the centre and help with sessions they do with the local schools when they start again.  arboleas is very English in the outer areas and very Spanish in the village.
