Hi All, first time on here. Looking at places to retire to in 4-5 yrs time. Arboleas looks to have some nice properties but wondering what bus links to other areas are like. Also what facilities are available, shops, pharmacy/clinic, cafe/restaurants, bars and social life in general. Thanks.
no bus links to speak of at the moment who knows in a few years time. you need your own transport to get anywhere else or to the coast which is approx half hours drive depending whichside of Arboleas you choose. The village has all the necessary stuff like banks, dentist and doctor, bars and a couple of hotel restaurants (small ones). there is a paper shop and a general stuff shop a tobacconist and a telephone shop. it is very British in some areas and you will probably still have to check that you are not buying an illegal property in 4 years time as they have been waiting over 16 so far to get their paperwork in some areas.
there is also a bowling alley which is closed at the moment because of Covid but hopefully it will open again one day along with the full markets and restaurants.
