My wife and i are thinking of retiring to the Arboleas area in a few years time (Brexit permitting!). Can someone please tell me what the public transport links are like in this area? We are both fit and healthy drivers at the moment, but need to think further down the line when this might not be the case.
Public country transport is hopeless. Think of moving to Huercal Overa or as close as possible or else Roquetas, Aguadulce or Retamar. Huercal Overa has a hospital and inter-provincial long distance bus service and the other places have regular bus services to Almeria city where there is a train service and lots of bus services as well as hospitals. I'm getting on in years and no longer drive so have to start thinking about moving to somewhere which has these services in case I'm ever on my own or if my husband becomes ill.
