I can't recommend any rat-catcher, but if you can get a loan of a dog (preferably a boxer) your problem will be solved.

When you put the bait down place some water nearby, the buggers are attracted to the water and will take the bait

Spread a bit of peanut butter with the bait . Works wonders on the farm vermin here . We catch them in cage traps mainly with peanut butter and peanuts as bait . With all the farm dogs runnning about we have to be so careful of using poison . Not only the dogs getting to the poison but eating rats that have taken it . Hope you get sorted

We had a similar problem.  The little beggars like to feast on the wiring and the windscreen washer tubing.   There is a poison that comes in teabag like sachets and smells of strawberries.   We always put them in the engine bay at various points and renew them every couple of months.   They seem to have solved the problem.   You can buy it in any ferretería it's called 'Ratiboom"

The rat we had loved the ratiboom ate loads of it and came back for more So we used one of those sticky sheets that many complain are cruel Placed it over the way in to the food cupboard and it worked like a treat. Came down in the morning and Mr Rat was squeaking away and stuck fast. I admit it was not very nice hearing his cries but he should have stayed outside with his wife (who was caught by cat)
