My wife and I have been in Spain since 7th December 2020. Since arriving we have applied for residency and been refused twice and I believe that we now face a court case . This the list of evidence dated December 2020 that we have to confirm that we were in Spain before January 2021

Storage company contract and receipt ...

...

Deposit contract for house purchase

Credit card statements

Police NIE assignment appointment

Contract from Transport Company

Receipt from Notary for power of attorney

Rental contract for apartment

Proof of income

I was wondering if anyone knows what further information the Spanish Authorities are looking for to prove that we were here.

I really sympathise with you.  We are in a similar position, having had our application and appeal rejected, but we have fortunately been able to retain a home base.  We thought we had an excellent lawyer processing our case and had complete confidence that it would just be a formality.  However the girl the lawyer employed was not up to the job and so the documentation fell short of requirements. Apparently, this is happening quite often and it is heartbreaking for the unsuccessful applicant.  I wonder if it should be brought to the attention of the uk media so that others may be forewarned before selling up to make the move.
