I am looking to rent a 1 or 2 bedroom property, within the Canjayar, Terque, Instinction areas. Preferably rural with a decent kitchen. Must take a dog, looking for a long term let. Looking to pay around 250 - 350 euros per month.

Hi Gwen

This might be too little, too late but we have just joined and I read your post. We have a holiday home in Lubrin - which is a great little Spanish village not too far from Arboleas. We like it so much that we have just bought a second house to refurbish - it is a lovely little traditional Spanish house right in the centre of the village. Two bedrooms and one shower room - nice lounge and kitchen. Private roof terrace and small patio area.

There is a really nice ex-pat community in Lubrin but it is also very Spanish. I think that you would be able to do reflexology etc there too. Great walking in and around the area. We have a cocker spaniel who needs lots of exercise and she loves it.

We will be arriving at the end of Oct and starting the refurb then - so probably the house would be ready for a tenant around end Dec/ start Jan.

We were thinking around 375 euros per month. If you think that you might be interested then please do let me know.

kind regards

Frances

Hi Francis

Thank you for your lovely email. I haven't found anything yet so moving to Spain got put on the back burner a bit. My brother lives in Canjayar, which is closer to Almeria, but its do able as I dont want to be their pocket. Your property sounds interesting and I'm not in a hurry, so please keep me in mind and if you have any photos that would be fab. I dont expect to be in Soain now until end of January, if that's not too late I would love to come and the property and meet you.

Kind regards

Gwen

Hi Gwen

That timing sounds fairly perfect. We are about to head out with dog on the ferry on Wednesday! We are planning to stay until end of March so we will be around for you to visit in Jan. It is possible to book in a B&B very close to the village - we can give you contact details if you are still interested closer to the time. It is possible to book one night in a house in the village but as the Spanish are notorious for no heating I would go for the B&B option if I were you because it will be cold at night in Jan.

If you give me an email address I will send you pictures of what the property looks like now - the major area of refurbishment is the kitchen and a stove for winter heating. The rest of the work is really just painting and cleaning.

Best wishes

Frances & David

Hi Frances

It looks lovely, however, due to poor health at the moment, I have to stay put for a while longer, also, I think I would prefer more rural, not keen on being in a town/village.

Good luck with your venture.

Kind regards

Gwen
