I'm looking for advice. I arrived in Spain 2.5 years from the UK. We were entitled to healthcare here under the S1 form due to my husband receiving a state pension. Sadly he passed away and I now find myself not covered under the scheme as I am 60 and do not receive state pension. Can anyone recommend a private Healthcare company or any other advice.

Hi, I'm a similar age to you and have my cover through ASISA, which I got through Contacting an organisation called Brexpats in Spain . They have a FB page and a website. It was cheaper for me than most other quotes.

There is also the convenio especial which enables you to pay a fixed amount for state healthcare, but I don't know how this is accessed, but a Google search may help, or perhaps someone else here would have more details on that. I think it's €60 per month until you are 65, but then goes up quite a lot.

Good luck
