Hi everyone , just looking for general feedback from folk living in different areas along the coast or slightly inland , I’m actively looking at places with a view to moving out eventually but as holiday home for the next 4/5 years , I have looked up as much research as I can find and thought there is nothing better than ex pats for advice , from palomares upto Roquetas de mar , in between I like the look of Carboneras and Vera, Turre also stands out for me as a place not bang on the beach but a community as well , the plan is to hopefully get out later this year (COVID allowing) and rent while looking at areas , any advice and knowledge is gratefully recieved, many thanks Colin

Thanks very much for the reply’s , I have been researching places along the coast without realising how long it actually is , I’m really liking the look of Carboneras , Garrucha, and San Juan de los Terreros, if anyone can give an insight into what these places are like I’d be very grateful, cheers Colin

..., cheers Colin

Carboneras is a quiet Spanish area just outside the Cabo de Gato but down a very steep and winding road from Mojacar.  not sure how many Brits live there.  Garrucha is a mainly Spanish fishing port and lorry loads of gravel exported by ships to areas nearby.  a few brits live there it is a very busy place with good supermarkets, restaurants and bars.  San Juan de la Torres is a very quiet tourist resort which has a nice promenade but gets very busy in the summer again not sure how many brits live there.    MIdway between Mojacar and Garrucha is a good area.
