Looking to purchase and move to Arboleas, Albox in the coming year, delayed from last year due to COVID-19, anyone have any comments or advice of living in this region and purchasing here.

Thanks

check and double check that the property is legal there are illegal properties for sale that the estate agents will not tell you that.  If you want to get a bargain it may be a way to go but be very sure what debts you will end up with after you have bought.

Go to the townhall ask questions and do lots of research. There are areas still without sewage connection using the old Pozzo systems so you may need to factor in the cost of a septic system.

Also remember that it is in the countryside so you will need a car to get around no public transport there.  Good half hour to the coast.

Thanks for the reply.

I am obtaining nota simples for all of the properties on my list and carrying out all due diligence.

Is the area a good place to live?

Thanks

we found it too quiet for us as we don't do bars and drinking out we prefer the coast and walking along the Playa with more cafes and restaurants to choose from.  If you like the countryside it will suit you as there are all the necessary things in the area of bank, medical centre, dentist, supermarket etc but we like the sea.

Well I can say we don't find Arboleas noisy dogs do bark if they hear a noise at least if someone is up to no good a dog will bark, it can be a good thing it's the same in the uk in the country side

There are laws in Spain and the UK for dogs that are constantly noisy after a certain time at night. I Live on the campo here and also in Cornwall, no problem with dog barking, I would think it would be more likely to happen in urbanisations. Where one dog will set off another, chain reaction.
