Can I ask if anyone as any problems with hunters and the hunting dogs as now it’s the end of the season we all know what still goes on with them we are coming over to look at property’s in the Huelga area and we are massive animal lovers would hate to move into a area where it goes on.

Thanks in advance

La Huelga is in the Sierra Cabrera and the Sierra Nevada is in Granada province not Almeria, Tim.  However, if you want to live in the countryside here Preey, you will always get hunters during the hunting season.  It's one of those those things you have to accept about living in the countryside I'm afraid.  I'm not keen either and my dog is terrified when it hears shooting but it usually is just between October and January and normally just on Sundays and bank holidays.

The problem of abandoned dogs happens now and again and it's due to cruelty and ignorance and many hunters (but not all) are guilty of being both cruel and ignorant.  However, if you can't handle being in this situation,  please don't think of living in rural areas in Spain because if someone has a licence to hunt nothing can be done as long as they keep to the rules laid down by the law.
