Hi my name is Shirley I will shorten my question a lot but if want details that may help you.

We applied for year2/3of our NIE my husband was okay I was not. 19

months down the line and three court cases later I have my NIE.

My problem is can't get an appointment for finger printing so my NIE card will have to be renewed again in November 2024 for year 4/5 is it important or should I wait for year4/5. Thank you to renew my card?

You’ll need to keep your TIE valid; there is a backlog at Almeria at the moment.  What date does your TIE expire?

OK, have you sought help from a solicitor / Gestor in getting an appointment to renew TIE?

I had a solicitor working on my TIE for 19 months because I was refused in 2022.we eventually won the case. My Solicitor could not get an appointment for me, so she gave me the number of a lady who could at a cost of 50€ so being desperate I was willing to pay but even she has had no luck, I haven't paid her until she gets appointment.

My advice, for what it is worth, is stick with her.  There is a HUGE backlog of appointments in Almeria right now and everyone is in the same boat

As well as the Foreigners office in Almeria they are now using the national police offices in Roquetas de Mar and El Ejido to try and reduce the backlog, I waited three months for an appointment and had to go to El Ejido but must say they were very efficient and helpful...
