Hi,

Sorry to jump on your reply, but am planning to move out to SJDLT before the end of this year. Have been looking at permanent rentals. Could you please give me any information on your experience of living there. All will be very much appreciated.

Kindest Regards

Jane Pa

Hi

Lost track of this thread but I do live in SJLT. It is a quiet resort with a selection of bars, restaurants and cheringuitas which in turn are open all year round now. It is a very Spanish resort but there are many international people living here. We are an hour from Murcia or Almeria airport. Unfortunately, it’s a limited bus service and there is a small train from Javavia ( 2 min drive) which runs to Lorca, Murcia, Alicante and Madrid although long journey but experience would be good; again not many trains per day.

There are fantastic beaches and surrounded by mountains, it’s a fabulous location with a micro climate. There are a few rental companies here. In the summer months, there is a lot of entertainment as many Spaniards come to their holiday homes but obviously with covid all that has stopped atm. There is a pilates class Tues & Thurs and yoga recently started.

It depends what you are looking for. Aguilas is 15 mins drive, main town neatest here but because we sit on the Andalucia/Murcia border we currently can’t go there. We have two good supermarkets and you can also get delivery from Mercadona. Mojacar is 40 min drive.

Hope this has been of some help

Have you researched Turre, it's a nice little village just a short drive from Mojacar.

Garrucha is another nice place and only a stones throw from Majac

Hi Tracy

My name is Pam.  I have an apartment in Palomares Almeria which is a little village with everything you need and near to bigger villages and towns for more. Send me your email address and I will send you details of my apartment and the surrounding area.  My apartment is for long rental ...

...and I also would like to sell as I am now retired and want to see more of the world before I get too creeky. It is near the sea, you can see the sea from the front door, can walk to the beach in 15 mins.  2beds, 2 baths.

Albox is a bit out of the way. Be careful what you do . A friend of mine has had a lot of trouble with documentation.

Pam

Hi Pam, we are looking for a property to rent for a while, we are also looking to buy in the area but want to have a look around until we make a decision. Is your apartment still available. many thanks, Dave and Gill Crichton
